Vintage / shabby chic

Isn't this picture just gorgeous? It's the inspiration for the May challenge at Pixels and Paper, with the criteria of vintage/shabby chic.

Shabby chic is a style that I feel I never get quite 'right' so I really procrastinated with this challenge! I made a Mother's Day card for my Mum, with muted colours, distressed edges, doily, stitching and velvet trim:

Kraft cardstock
K & Co Blue Awning patterned paper
Paper doily
Maya Road Crushed Velvet - Cream ric rac
Poppy Stamps Darling Viola cutting die

I'm sharing my card at Simon Says Stamp for the Anything Goes theme.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

  1. Really beautiful. Love the die and gorgeous papers. Hugs, Autumn

  2. Your Mom will love this, Karen! Love all the touches that make it shabby! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a message :)
