This double page layout was created for the Soul Scrappers Quest challenge.  Participants were sent a mystery packet of items to use, and a set of quotes to choose from.  I found this to be a HUGE challenge because I don't usually use a lot of "stuff" on my layouts.  All of the embellishments on the page are from the mystery packet.  I only added the cardstock, patterned paper, gesso and inks.  Click to enlarge, because there's a LOT of detail:

Materials
Kraft cardstock
K&Co Blue Awning patterned paper
Ranger Tim Holtz - Bundled Sage distress ink
Ranger Tim Hotlz - Chipped Sapphire distress ink
Imagine Craft CM - Metallic Gold creative medium
My Memories Butterfly punch

Gateway Bridge

The bridge formerly known as the Gateway Bridge is a well-known Brisbane landmark, now correctly called the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges.  {Most locals still call it the Gateway Bridge}.  I took a bunch of photographs from underneath the bridge last year, and I'm finally getting around to scrapping some of them:

Materials
Bazzill Basics Smoothies - Blackberry Swirl cardstock
Watercolour paper
ColorBox Art Screens - Mesmerised stencil
13Arts Ayeeda - Navy Blue Pearl mist
Little Yellow Bicycle Traveler cardstock alphabet stickers
Blue rhinestones

My layout was inspired by the March ARTastic challenge, and this fabulous painting by William Rose:

The additional criteria this month is to use STENCILS.  I thought the painting had an industrial/architectural kind of feel, so I used some photographs of the concrete bridge, with no people.  I used a spray mist to stencil a swirly design onto watercolour paper, then cut it into uneven strips and reassembled onto my page.  I added doodled borders to make the edges a bit more 'jagged', and because I just enjoy doodling borders!

Pacific Coast

This is another page for our December Sydney trip album:

Green Tara 4cm Petals - White paper flowers
Technique Tuesday Hometown - Lowercase alphabet dies
MFT Die-namics - Little Letters alphabet dies
American Crafts Geyser cardstock
Cocoa Vanilla Sugar & Spice - Perfect Posies patterned paper

I'm joining in with these challenges:

* Archi-Scraps ~ Mosaic
I used a mosaic style stencil to add texture. I also took inspiration from the iridescence of the photo, choosing a metallic gold medium and luminescent ink sprays.

* Stamplorations ~ Stencil Sunday

* Colorful Creations ~ Colour Combo + twist (use inks)

I chose the aqua/blue palette, with two different spray colours.  {I still feel like I'm losing control of my layout anytime I use wet media... I never know if it will look like I expect!!}

Passiflora

This layout started life as a very different idea... but I kept changing my mind... and changing and changing... and I'm finally happy with how it turned out!

Materials
American Crafts Geyser cardstock
K&Co Jubilee - Teal Florals and Butterfly patterned paper
Creative Embellishments Butterflies (Set of 5) chipboard
Therm-o-web Deco Foil - Gold transfer paper
Crochet lace
Buttons
My Memories Butterfly punch
PortaCraft Mega Pack - Yellow rhinestones
Micador Collected & Co - Text Type Black alphabet stickers

I built my layout using the sketch challenge at Scrap Boutique, and took the background colours from the inspiration picture at Creative Embellishments:

I liked the blended colour background with the mauve/green tones, and I tried to capture that in my choice of patterned paper. {Anything in the purple spectrum is a challenge for me, so this was probably the trickiest part of creating my layout!}  I added a CE chipboard butterfly from Butterflies (Set of 5).

And speaking of buterflies, I was also inspired by the wonderful combo at More Than Words this month:

The most beautiful flowers in my garden are the passionfruit flowers, which offer the promise of fresh, sweet passionfruit.  To make my butterfly shine, I added gold foil:
